Vice president of Taiwan, Hsiao, attended Hsiu Ping University of Science and Technology name changing ceremony.

The ceremony of school name changing to Hsiu Ping University of Science and Technology was held on August 1st at 9: 30am in front of the main entrance. The ceremony was hosted by the university president, Chung Rei Gwo and there are more than 20 VIP guests including vice president of Taiwan, Hsiao; the vocational education secretary from MOE, Lee Yen Yi; vice mayor of Taichung, Tsai Being Kwen; legislator, Lu Xo Yen; Tsai Jin Zon; Zheng Li Wen; Jian Zhao Chen; city council committee, Dwon Wei Yu; the director of Dai Li industrial service center, Wang Wen Chung; factory assistant manager, Jung Jin Zhu; Da Li education council board director, Lai Jian Chun; alumni association chair, Zho Chi Tong; honorary trust board chair, Lin Bao Li; chair of trust board, Lin Tsun Li; school affair consultant, Li Bao Chun and former university president, Lee Xin Chien. Moreover, there are another approximately 100 guests including principals from many senior/vocational high schools, industry cooperation representatives, alumni association and many trust board supervisors. Our students and faculty were also sharing joyfulness at the ceremony.

Vice president, Hsiao, has given praise on the achievement of Hsiu Ping in its administrative work, academic interaction and industry-academy cooperation. Hsiao further stated that faculty members in Hsiu Ping have made an impressive achievement with National Science Council projects in industry-academy cooperation. Students have also shown a good work in off-campus competitions and internship. Those fabulous performances have demonstrated that Hsiu ping has indeed fulfilled the educational goal of being modern Moist. Nevertheless, the office assistances have produced efficient working performance which is the strong back up of the university as its excellent administrative system.

President Chung addressed that Hsiu Ping has made some break-through in school facilities and new faculty recruitment and orientation. In the beginning of this year, Hsiu Ping has obtained the opportunity to join restructuring and upgrading program from Economic Department- industry bureau-Dai Li district for improving the quantity and the quality of industry-academy cooperation. Furthermore, the upcoming freeway-Taichung 4, will be opened in the end of year and bring more convenient traffic option.

August 1st of 2011 is a meaningful day that is worthwhile for celebration because of the new school title; Hsiu Ping University of Science and Technology.
